Hotel Arts Group, Director of Revenue (Remote), 2015 - Current

• Overseeing Rooms division revenue budgets, forecasts, reporting, electronic distribution network, strategic development.
• Position was on-site in Calgary, AB 2015-2018, I have worked remotely from Kelowna, BC since May 2019.
• Responsible for managing financial forecasts, billing, reporting, and analytics for the Rooms division in the hotel group. Role requires strong attention to detail and relies heavily on data manipulation and problem solving to ascertain facts.
• I am responsible for negotiating third party vendors contracts and for finding common ground when negotiating group contracts and am a signing authority for both. I have also been the lead in managing contract renegotiations during COVID-19 to find workable solutions for all parties with respect to the fact that force majeure and other cancellation clauses may technically not be in effect and am relied upon to make my best judgement on each individual case.
• I am responsible for finding and rectifying account and ledger imbalances and tracing payments through multiple systems to ensure the deposit and guest ledgers are up to date. As the manager for the Reservations team, I oversee all inbound calls and assist where necessary utilizing my previous experience as call centre supervisor for escalated calls. I support Accounts Payable and Receivable by maintaining their report suite and working with them to troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Additionally, covered a maternity leave role as Interim Director of Sales and Marketing overseeing expenses budget, transition to an external marketing agency and overhauling WordPress sites.

Ramada Plaza Downtown Calgary, Reservations & Revenue Manager, 2015

• Responsible for managing all rates and billing in the property management system. This role was a relatively short period as the opportunity arose to work for Hotel Arts Group, for whom I still work with today.

The Fairmont Château Lake Louise, Assistant Reservations Manager, 2014 - 2015

• Managed reconciliation of accounts and commissions and assisted with management of in-house reservations team and call centre.

Panorama Mountain Village, Guest Services & Call Centre Supervisor, 2009 - 2014

• Various seasonal roles in guest services and latterly as Call Centre Supervisor (1 year) handling all inbound reservations and activity bookings and managing escalated calls.
